PRINCE EDWARD COUNTY MUNICIPAL ELECTION

Eligible voters can vote online from anywhere or cast a paper ballot in person. Start by confirming that you are on the voters list.

There are two voting methods: online voting and an in-person paper ballot. Your Voter Notification Card will include the information you need.

Internet voting

From October 17 at 10 a.m.
to October 26 at 8 p.m.

Vote securely using a computer, tablet or smartphone. Use the voter ID and PIN provided on your Voter Notification Card.

Vote early in person at your ward’s designated voting location. Bring identification showing your name and qualifying address.

Confirm your information

Check that your name and qualifying Prince Edward County address appear correctly on the voters list.

Watch for your card

Voter Notification Cards are expected in early October and contain your voter ID, PIN and voting details.

Prepare identification

For in-person voting, bring identification showing your name and qualifying address. Photo identification is not required.


Who can vote?

You may vote in Prince Edward County if, on Election Day, you are:

  • a Canadian citizen;

  • at least 18 years old;

  • a resident of Prince Edward County, an owner or tenant of land in the County, or the spouse of an owner or tenant; and

  • not prohibited from voting under provincial law.

Non-resident property owners and tenants should also confirm their information on the voters list.

Special voting locations

Special voting locations serve eligible residents of participating long-term-care and retirement homes. They are not open to the general public.
