As Mayor, I will:

· Prioritize the rehabilitation and replacement of roads and bridges based on need and long-term asset management principles.

· Work toward achieving and maintaining an overall infrastructure condition rating of 80 or better.

· Develop and support a long-term financial strategy that ensures infrastructure investments are sustainable and affordable.

· Focus on preventative maintenance to reduce long-term costs and extend the life of County assets.

· Advocate for provincial and federal infrastructure funding to help reduce the burden on local taxpayers.

Well-maintained roads and bridges are essential to public safety, agriculture, tourism, economic development, and quality of life.

I support:

· Increasing the supply of attainable housing for families, seniors, young adults, and workers.

· Encouraging innovative housing solutions that meet the needs of County residents.

· Supporting housing developments that strengthen our communities while respecting their character.

· Working with developers, community organizations, and senior levels of government to identify opportunities and funding programs that can help address housing challenges.

A strong community depends on having housing options that allow residents to live, work, raise families, and build their future in Prince Edward County.

As Mayor, I will work to attract and support businesses that provide stable, year-round employment opportunities while complementing the County’s unique character.

My focus will include:

· Attracting small and medium-sized businesses in high-technology sectors, food product development, and specialized manufacturing.

· Encouraging industries that are not dependent on direct access to Highway 401 and can thrive in a rural community.

· Supporting local entrepreneurs and helping existing businesses grow and expand.

· Building partnerships with educational institutions, industry organizations, and economic development agencies.

· Advocating for provincial and federal investment programs that support employment growth and economic development throughout Eastern Ontario.

· Promoting Prince Edward County as an attractive location for businesses seeking skilled workers, a high quality of life, and a supportive community environment.

Economic development should create meaningful employment opportunities, strengthen the tax base, and provide long-term benefits for residents while preserving the character of Prince Edward County.

Drawing on my decades of experience in this field, I will:

· Prioritize practical, cost-effective upgrades that improve reliability without placing unnecessary pressure on ratepayers

· Ensure replacement and expansion decisions are based on sound engineering and financial principles.

· Seek provincial and federal funding opportunities to reduce pressure on local ratepayers.

· Support growth strategies that strengthen system sustainability over the long term.

· Promote efficient operations that provide value while maintaining service reliability and regulatory compliance.

My direct experience in water and wastewater operations gives me a practical understanding of the systems, regulations, costs, and long-term planning needed to protect both service quality and affordability.

I will support development that:

· Aligns with available water, wastewater, road, and municipal infrastructure.

· Respects the character and identity of our communities.

· Protects agricultural land and environmentally sensitive areas.

· Ensures that growth pays for growth and does not place an unfair burden on existing taxpayers.

· Creates long-term economic and community benefits for County residents.

Responsible development means saying yes to growth that makes sense, asking hard questions before costs are passed on to taxpayers, and protecting the qualities that make Prince Edward County unique.

I will work to:

· Preserve natural landscapes and environmentally sensitive areas.

· Maintain the rural character that residents value and visitors appreciate.

Our farmland, open spaces, and rural heritage are essential to the County’s future.

· Encourage partnerships that expand programming opportunities across the County.

I will work to:

· Explore opportunities to create new public access points.

· Ensure residents can enjoy and benefit from our natural waterfront resources.
